Brother
Anthony Reginal
Living the Values of "Culture for Service and Service to
Humanity" |
|
Bro. Reginal of Mississippi has emerged into one of the most respected officers of the law in the Jackson, Miss., area. Bro. Reginal has been active with the aid of Hurricane Katrina victims and, last July, also saved the life of a drowning toddler.
Bro. Reginal was involved with rescue missions, food relief checkpoints, dignitary escorting and first-hand security for 60 days in the hard-hit areas of Mississippi during the Katrina tragedy. In providing service, he pushed back a three-day vacation trip awarded to him by the mayor of Jackson, Frank Melton.

Bro. Reginal earned the trip after saving 1-year-old Dayveon Beal, who was drowning after jumping in a swimming pool. Bro. Reginal administered CPR for roughly two minutes and finally revived the boy.
Bro. Reginal also is a member of the Mississippi National Guard’s 114th Military Police Unit in Clinton, Miss. He was stationed in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, in 2003, where he worked at a prison and guarded detainees for six months. Bro. Reginal also has coached football at Callaway High School since 1998.
Bro. Reginal can be congratulated at aceofspade14@hotmail.com. |

How did you become interested in Sigma?:
When I was in undergrad, I always wanted to do it. I used to be in the Upward Bound program, and all my counselors were
Sigmas. After attending college the first two years, I left and went into the military.
When I came back, I finally finished. It’s been in me since I can remember.
-
Most
treasured honor:
I think I get the biggest enjoyment out of coaching and seeing kids coming in as ninth-graders go on to graduate and have successful college careers. Those are my proudest moments.
-
Advice to younger Brothers:
Remember the importance of Brotherhood, Scholarship and Service.
Don’t underestimate the power of Brotherhood. That can take us so far in life.
-
Advice to older Brothers:
Don’t forget that revolving door of trying to help another Brother, whether he is a member of the Fraternity or not. Keep that revolving door open, and help Brothers be successful.
