THE SKINNY

-
Birth chapter:
“Hard” Alpha Eta Chapter, Florida A&M Univ.
-
Current chapter:
Delta Theta Sigma Chapter, Cincinnati
-
Education:
BS in Public Management (Florida A&M)
-
How did you become interested in Sigma?:
I looked at some other organizations because of family elsewhere. I thought I might follow their footsteps, but I realized they’re not the men as I thought of myself to be. I thought Sigma was a great group of guys who fit with my personality and who I am as a man.
-
Most
treasured honor:
I was elected Homecoming King in high school. I failed at two previous school-wide elections, but I worked very hard. That crown goes with me everywhere I go. It reminds me that I can do anything.
-
Advice to younger Brothers:
Just because we were founded fourth doesn’t mean we’re fourth. We can go as far as we want to go, and we should never be intimidated by other organizations.
-
Advice to older Brothers:
We respect what they’ve done, but we also bring energy and new ideas that should be at least considered. No matter when you pledged, we all have the same goals, and that’s uplifting the principles of Sigma.
