of Georgia Quarterback Wins Bobby Bowden Student-Athlete Honor
University of Georgia senior quarterback D.J. Shockley is the recipient of the 2005 Bobby Bowden Award, an annual award presented by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
The award, named for Florida State’s long-time football coach, is given to a Division I-A football player who is considered a model student-athlete on and off the football field. All nominees must have a 3.0 grade point average or better.
